# *NEW* Prince Rupert Port and Northwest Cannery Tour
Experience a great day exploring this
Pacific Northwest port city. Classic
Canadian Tours takes you on a one day guided exploration of the Prince Rupert
Port and North Pacific Cannery National Historic Site. We depart Calgary or Edmonton on a chartered
jet and fly non-stop to Prince Rupert airport on Digby Island, where we will
board a water taxi and begin a tour of the Prince Rupert Port and interpretive centre. Next we will visit the North Pacific Cannery
Canadian National Historic Site, for a guided tour of this historic
cannery. This National historic site is the
longest running cannery in BC history.
Cannery life, industry history, fishing methods and the canning lines
are exhibited and illustrated. A special
lunch of local cuisine served at the 19th century mess house is
included and we’ll be entertained by First Nations dancers.
Following lunch, we board the bus and drive
to Prince Rupert to visit the Northern BC Museum and Cow Bay. At
day’s end, we’ll be transferred to the airport by water taxi for our dinner
flight home.
