Does Classic Canadian Tours provide Travel Insurance?
Classic Canadian Tours does not provide travel insurance. If you would like to purchase travel insurance we suggest that you first check with your credit card company, as it may be offered on purchases made with your credit card. Travel insurance may also be purchased through your car or home insurance provider or through a travel insurance company, such as Travel Guard. Trip cancellation and interruption insurance will ensure that you are covered in the event that you are not able to make the trip for a personal reason, such as illness or if your trip is interrupted for an unforeseen reason, such as weather. Travel medical insurance, will pay the upfront costs not covered by Provincial Healthcare, such as evacuation, if you do not have extended health benefits. Only your insurance provider will be able to let you know your exact coverage.
How should I dress for my Beluga Whale Tour?
Average temperatures during the month of July vary between 8 and 21 degrees Celsius. We suggest that you bring clothing for Spring and Summer conditions along with light rain gear - just in case!
What are some of the items I should pack for this trip?
To help ensure a more memorable journey, here are some suggested items to bring:
- Camera

- Good walking shoes
- Comfortable clothing for exploring, plus air and train travel
- Light jacket

Do I need photo identification?
Yes. All passengers 18 years and older must provide identification upon check-in at the airport. Under Transport Canada regulations passengers are required to show valid government issued identification that includes a picture, passenger's name, date of birth and gender, such as a drivers licence or a passport. if a picture is not provided, then two pieces of valid government issued ID without photographs showing the passengers name, date of birth and gender.
What is the luggage allowance?
Guests will be allowed 1 piece of carry-on (backpack or camera bag) and one piece of checked luggage.
What are the hotel accommodations like?
We have a 'best-in-town' philosophy and aim to use premium and unique accommodations that embrace local culture.
How are my tour payments protected?
Payments and deposits will be handled by Classic Canadian Tours or your selected travel professional. They/We are responsible under jurisdictional law to appropriately handle the payments.

Where do I check-in for the flight?
The Beluga Whale Tours depart from a private departure lounge. If you are booked on the tour, the location and a map will be provided at least 30 days prior to the departure date. In the case that you do not receive the document, please contact our office; Calgary (403)295-1415 or toll free 1-866-460-1415.
Is there an age restriction for kayaking and snorkelling?
Yes, the minimum age for kayaking and snorkelling is 12 years. If the child is between 10 - 12, has some experience, is mature (able to follow instructions well) and the average size of a 12 year old, about 5 ft tall and 100 lbs, it may be approved, but will be at the discretion of the guide and front desk manager.
