**NEW** Marshes to Mysteries

The Marshes to Mysteries tour allows you to combine many interests including bird conservation and a passion for Canadian history in Winnipeg.

The Oak Hammond Marsh is a birder's hot spot.  In the spring the wetlands are teeming with songbirds, shorebirds and migratory waterfowl.  Here is a unique chance to increase your "Life List" with a sighting of a black crowned night heron or a short-billed dowitcher, plus the opportunity to participate in a bird banding program.

The mystery part of the equation is the Manitoba Legislative Building, a structure created by a Freemason architect who incorporated many hidden symbols and meaning into his design.  Our guide at the Legislature is a local historian who will reveal how the building is a modern day reconstruction of King Solomon's temple.

This weekend also includes a guided city tour, a visit to the Manitoba Museum and a fine hotel at a great location. The local guides are knowledgeable and passionate about their city.

And, because this is a Classic Canadian Tour, there is a polar bear.  You will visit Assiniboine Park Zoo for a  tour of the exhibit, Journey to Churchill.
