Itinerary

We will depart Calgary or Edmonton by chartered jet 7:30 AM to maximize our grizzly bear viewing time in Khutzeymateen Valley, along the northern coast of BC. The flying time to Prince Rupert is approximately 1 hours and 50 minutes.

Enroute to Prince Rupert you will be served breakfast while listening to a naturalist speaker entertain you with fascinating facts about the grizzly bears and other wildlife in the Khutzeymateen Valley. Once we have descended upon Prince Rupert our group will be shuttled to the dock, where we will board the Inside Passage for a 7 hour guided excursion. Inside Passage is a 72 foot catamaran, Canadian Coast Guard certified for 100 passengers featuring outer deck space and extensive floor to ceiling glass for unsurpassed viewing. Warm, luxurious and fast; Inside Passage delivers a unique and comfortable way to see the North Coast.

While on the cruise, we will find ourselves among the most fascinating wildlife and breathtaking scenery. It will take approximately 2 hours to cruise Chatham sound. Upon arrival at Khutzeymateen we will spend 2 to 3 hours observing grizzly bear. Lunch will be served on-board the Inside Passage.

The afternoon cruise on Chatham Sound, as we return to Prince Rupert, gives us the opportunity to spot more wildlife. At days end we cruise Prince Rupert Harbour and then shuttle back to the airport for our dinner flight home, arriving at approximately 8:30 PM.
